  • Cold water extractor's....

If I was buying an extractor, I would buy a hot water model. But, I recently acquired a cold water extractor for a deal that I couldn't pass up. Medium size, commercial unit(Windsor Admiral Plus), with all of the attachments(hoses, upholstery/car attachments, etc...), and it's mechanically in perfect working condition.

My question is, I know hot water is better, and I can fill this machine up with hot tap water if I choose to. But, what if hot tap water isn't avaliable at the time(like working on a customers car in the middle of a parking lot)? If I have to use this machine in this situation, am I going to be pleased with the results? I've always used the Little Green Machine and APC duluted 10:1, and I'm hoping for the same if not better results from this machine. Am I setting my expectations too high? Should I use a different shampoo for the cold water? Should I just sell this unit and buy a hot water machine?

    Thanks,
    Nick

Nick did you ever get a chance to use this and come to some conclusions to your questions?

Hmm, I didn't see this one.....'

The spot cleaner I have is an upright carpet spot cleaner (Hoover I think) with an upholstery attachment. Fill a tank up with tap water, spray and extract with a soap dispenser gizmo. The soap is not readily available, so I just fill the bottle with water and use my own soap and scrub/agitate and extract. Drying time is long but it works good. I use it at home and use hot tap water and believe me, it doesn't stay hot long while outside.

      Should work in a pinch.

          Resurrected from the dead

I used this cold water machine for many months with great success. As soon as I could afford it, I upgraded to a Mytee 60 series hot water extractor. Obviously the hot water machine works sooooo much better. But the cold water machine was a huge improvement over my Little Green Machine.
