I used UQD a couple a days ago and it was hard to wipe it off, I know it probably means my car needs new wax, but the point is that it was cold outside as well could that be an effect of how hard it is to wipe off?

Some use it after they wash their vehicle, to add depth and extra protection..
It spreads easily on warm surface (Heated garage) or if your in warmer state right outside in sun. Perfect temp is 65 to 90 °F" (IMO)..Joe's detailing (Since 2002)''We begin where the car wash Ends.''

Re: Had a hard time wiping off UQD?
I just finished using UQD on my car and it's only 39 degrees here right now. My Corvette is black, and even in temps this cold there were absolutely no problems removing UQD at all and it did not streak. In fact I noticed no loss of performance of this stuff compared to when I was using it in warmer weather a few months ago, so even if you use it in cold weather you'll still get the same great results. I'm very impressed!2018 Torch Red Corvette
