What can be used on wheel cover's to help keep them from getting stained?

    wheel covers

wheel covers are hard to get clean, especially the plastic kind .
overhere, car manufacturers use a soft kind of plastic, that won't break,if you hi the side walk, when parking.
    what i do,if i can't get them clean,i just re paint them.
    it's very simple,and a nice touch.
use waterproof sandpaper and sand just a bit.degrease the cover, and take spray can of wheel silver.tape of the logo, and spray.
if you're not used to spray paint, try this:
fill your kitchen sink with warm water, and let the spray can stand in this water for a few minutes.this way the pressure will increase,
i wish i could explain in english why this happens, but i don't know the proper words.because the pressure increases, you have less paint coming from the nozzle, but a good pressure.this allows you to spray thin layers, with less chance for drips.
this is just what i do,but overhere almost every wheel cover is silver colored.

    ciao
