Re: Car Care for Monsoon Hit Countries

Hi! I am in the Philippines and I believe we share the same climate and environment.

I've recently clayed my black car. After which I used DC 1 and 2 using an orbital polisher. I then top it off with 2 coats (about 12 hours apart) of NXT Generation Wax.

I use a quick detailer almost daily to remove dust and wash once a week using NXT wash. When I slide my finger on the paint (after washing) and if it no longer slides smoothly and creates a creeking sound, I take it as a signal to wax.

I guess the humidity and the 35 deg C temps shortens the protective and shining capabilities of NXT wax (or any other wax) compared to cooler climates. I waxed the car last Sunday (2 coats), left it in the office on Tuesday (exposed to the sun and no rains) and picked it up today (Friday). I applied QD to remove the dust and the surface is not as slick as it was last Sunday (there was a significant difference). I'll try to wash it tomorrow with NXT and see the real difference.

In tropical climates like ours, maybe we need to apply wax a little more frequently.

      Hi amf ...
Thanks for your input. I do agree that we both face similar weather.
I'm just curious how other car owners is taking care of their car during summer. Mind you , alot of countries which face 4 different weather have hell of a hotter summer compared to us.

So anyone out there , do you all practice a different routine in taking care of your car during summer ? Especially when the temp is above 35 deg C?

I don think the occasional rain will affect the wax on the car so much compared to a higher daily afternoon temp.

      Need you input guys!!

      Thanks

Well I use M21 and it seems to be alright for our weather here in M'sia.
