I want to try M83, M80, M7, M21 on my black "test" car that now has many layers of Zaino Z2. Will the M83 remove the Zaino or do I need to use something else befor beginning the Megs products?

Re: From Zaino to Megs-Removing Z2
As others have said, either M83, M80 or even clay will remove the product currently on your vehicle. But since Meguiar's like to teach using the least aggressive process to achieve the desired result, I would suggest you do a test spot using M80 before jumping in with the M83, especially if you have a "plan" to use both. If M80 gets rid of the defects, and it so often does, then there's no real need to step up to M83 and certainly no need to use both.Michael Stoops

I though only DAWN would remove Zaino?
Sorry, I couldn't resist!
I agree with the peeps above, you should check to see if it needs to be clayed first. Clay will remove some if not all the wax and then #80 would remove anything left.
...and welcome to MOL!

Re: From Zaino to Megs-Removing Z2
Dawn really doesn't remove Zaino, IME (or many LSPs). However, washing with a high alkaline soap (such as dawn) isn't a bad idea if you are trying to remove the oils left over from polishing and actually inspect the true surface condition of the paint.
That said, any abrasive (clay is an abrasive, IMO) will remove the current LSP. An abrasive polish like M83 or M80 will remove the LSP in a matter of micro seconds.Let's make all of the cars shiny!
