Saturday was a very sad day as it was the first time my car was exposed to dirty northeast rain water.
My normally shiny white car sat in the garage all dirty. So, when Sunday rolled around I obviously took the opportunity to giver her a good wash. However, it was EXTREMELY humid but I still wanted to use my NXT spray wax (which I use as a booster).
The last time I waxed my IS350 is probably two months ago and the NXT 2.0 is still going strong. The car is garage parked, washed weekly and I don't put a lot of miles on it. I maintain the car by either using the NXT Spray Wax or the UQD regularly.
On this day, I chose to use the NXT Spray wax and I'm not sure if it was the humidity or not, but the wax itself was almost "beading" on the surface after I had worked it into the paint.
It is hard to explain, but the best way I could describe it is like this...
I sprayed a bit and really worked it (by hand) until it was very thin and almost not noticeable. Then I moved to a new area and did the same. By the time I got back to the original areas, instead of looking dry, they looked very wet and the wax was beading. I've used the NXT spray wax about 10-15 times before and I've never had this effect, so I'm kind of assuming it had to do with the humidity (as I said it was ULTRA humid). Any thoughts?
What I ended up doing is waiting for about a 1/2 hour and it still wasn't dry, so I wiped it with a clean MF towel, let it sit about another 15 minutes and went over it with two MF towels. Some of the spots on the second pass were really tough to remove. I'm wondering where I went wrong?
