Can someone clear something up for me? What's the difference between a chenille mitt and a microfiber mitt? Thanks. AJ

Re: Chenille vs Microfiber Mitts
I think chenille is some sort of a cotton, almost like an extra long terry cloth.
MF is just that, man-made microfibers, that have been made and sewn together in some way that companies feel is good for washing.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Chenille vs Microfiber Mitts
Like Matt said,
Chenille is a form of cotton. Microfiber is typically a blend of polyester and nylon fibers.
Historically nylon and polyester fibers in a large size could potentially scratch paint but when it's miniaturized it changes the dynamics of the fibers and they become more gentle to the surface than even cotton fibers.
Thus the huge increase in popularity in microfiber products for working on paint.

Re: Chenille vs Microfiber Mitts
Hi Mike!! Took the course you ran in New Jersey a year or so ago. Will I get poor results if I use the chenille mitt (it's tightly woven) or should I scrap it for the microfiber mitt?
Thanks!! You ran a GREAT course!!
