Guess what? Before a car is painted the exterior is prepped for fresh paint, that means it's cleaned with a wax and grease remover and in most cases either sanded down or scuffed in some way to remove the outer layer of paint and things like car wax and to promote good adhesion by the new paint being sprayed.
It's seriously not an issue. Whether NXT Tech Wax has silicone or if any of our waxes contain silicone I don't know unless it states it on the label.
One thing for sure, our chemist are good, really good and when they include ANY ingredient in ANY formula it's usually for one of two reasons and in most cases both reasons..
1. To benefit the process
2. To benefit the user
Ingredients are not included in a formula without a real reason.
As to whether NXT Tech Wax is a "Paint Sealant" or a "Car Wax", that depends upon how you define those terms.
Most people think of a car wax as a product with some kind of "Natural" waxy substance in it like Carnauba Wax, if that's your definition then NXT Tech Wax is not a car wax as all the ingredients are synthetic, that is man-made.
The word "Wax" on the label as a descriptor is there because the majority of people that will wash and wax their car don't hang out on detailing discussion forums and dissect words and terms, instead they go to an about parts store and look for a product with the words "Car Wash" and for a product with the words "Car Wax".
As a business, you don't make it a practice to confuse your customer.
Make sense?
