anyone use silicone-free dressing? how easy does it wash off tires? does it leave a pile of black goo on the brush/mitt?

I actually have never used the silicone-free tire dressing so maybe someone that has can chime in?
M40 is water based and gives a nice matte finish.
The nature of tires is they are continually breaking-down and most dressings when washed off are kind of messy.
