Yes, it's hard to remove swirls on a car by hand. I mean, that would be a big challenge. You might have found Swirl X worked better with a foam pad, since it's more gentle.
If you do get say a G110 someday, you might even have to go up to Ultimate Compound, to get the finish exactly how you like it.
However, with all that work you did, I know from experience, that your car is glowing right now and looks great, so be proud of your hard work. I'm sure your car is gorgeous.
