Hey guys..So after some failed searching on usage of m105/m205 with the G100, I have decided to start a post. Im still using my trusty G100 and 7000 series 6.5" pads. Havent jumped ship yet to the G110. So, with the inception of these all star polishes is the G100 able to handle them to full benefit?

I was wondering this too. I actually dont know for sure what model I have, I bought it exactly 10 years ago in 1999 from Meguiars, I looked all over it for a model number and dont see one- however I assume it's the older G100. Nevertheless it seems to have pleanty of power to rotate and works just fine, even after 10 years of regular use!

I'm in the same boat as you guys, having the G100 and the new M105/M205. It seems the new products should work fine, the G110 is a little stronger...but not like a rotary strong. Keeping the pads clean and the pressure consistent should give nice results with the G100.NOTE: Post count does not reflect actual detailing knowledge.

You'll still get fantastic results using a G-100/Porter Cable 7424 with M105/M205/Ultimate Compound or any other Meguiar's products designed for use with a D/A buffer.Michael Stoops

Thanks everyone for all the responses!! It just seems with all the excitement over the G110/G220 that the G100 has become the ugly red headed stepchild. LOL I still havent lost faith in the trusty G100 and its abilities to remove nasty holograms from improper/proper Rotary use. It just takes a tad bit longer. Worst case Ill just pull out the Rotary if the need arises. As always thanks!!
