  • Using #80 Speed Glaze on curing paint

    From the FAQ:

"Speed Glaze contains a high level of pure polishing oils and only a small amount of very fine diminishing abrasives for cleaning/removing surface imperfections, blemishes, and surface stain. The amount of diminishing abrasives contained in this product are not enough to scratch the surface when applied by hand or machine. They will instead ensure that the surface is completely clean, enabling the rich polishing oils to penetrate into the surface creating deep, dark, wet-looking gloss while the paintable polymers provide a small but important level of protection to preserve your finish from attack and deterioration while it cures."

Am I right to assume that hand application with a foam app pad would be the best method to minimize any chance of surface marring? I'm dealing with dark green paint applied two weeks ago...

    Yes.

Shake well before use and insure your applicator pad is clean, and apply gently and you should be OK.

You could also use #81 Hand Polish.

Thanks Mike. I understand that the non-abrasive #81 wouldn't leave any marring, but will it offer as much protection? The car's daily driven and parked outside.

#80 will offer a little more protection with it's synthetic polymers ingredinets.

Do you have a pictures of the car?

Pics are in my sig link and a few are in my gallery here, Mike. All the pics were taken before the accident though. The hood, front bumper & fenders, and passenger door have been repainted.
