  • Will Wheel Cleaner Strip Wax?

Recently spent a day washing, polishing & waxing my uncoated, polished aluminum wheels. Man these suckers STILL get dirty quick! Looks like I'll just have to wash them more frequently. So will ALL Wheel Cleaner or Alum Wheel cleaner strip my NXT Gen wax?

Yes, all wheel cleaners will strip your wheel wax. If you don't want to strip the wax, use soap and water.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
    Remove swirls my friends.

Dedicated wheel cleaners are generally a lot stronger then your regular car wasing soap. So I would have to say, the wheel cleaners will strip the wax.

yep. I sneak in and use it on the lower parts of my car on the paint (wheels are paint! ) and the beading dissapears, so when I do that, I re-wax of course.
