i could pick this up locally at a boating supply store.

    1. would this remove dacp and wax residue?
    2. also could you use this product on black plastic? it says rubber and vinyl?
    3. how does this product work?
    4. what else do i need, such as: brush, towel, do i need to follow with #40? or could i use 303 after cleaning?

I have no experience with that product, but I do know that Gold Class Trim Detailer works great. When rubbed into rubber trim with a soft towel it will remove wax residue depending on how long its been there. As for DACP, it should wipe right off with a rag.

#39 is awesome. I just cleaned 85% of the of 12 years worth of dirt and grime off of a '92 honda civic(I have the dirty towels to prove it) and have had success removing polish/wax residue from the exterior trim on my '03 mustang as well.
        I want 4" Softbuff pads!

1 and 2. I used this product on Saturday on black plastic stained with wax. The wax was removed just fine as far as I can tell. Not sure if the wax was covered up or removed I'll check back in a few days.

          3. and 4. I sprayed on the trim and agitated with a blue bristle brush from Wal Mart then wiped dry with a terry towel. The wax residue was removed pretty easy with #39.

I didn't dress the trim afterwards since the trim wasn't dressed before hand. This client just wated some light scratches removed from paint and asked if I would look at this problem. If the trim was dressed before using #39 then I'd say you would need to reapply dressing.

          Good luck.

#39 is a great product. I used it on my 13 year old Honda isn't garaged. To say the least it degreased the surfaces back to normal and with an application of #40 cleaner/conditioner it brought back the original factory look. I highly reccomend these products.
