1930 coupe ,tough product removal

The single stage paint on this car ,which is old paint and not original is tough when removing products.

Even basic things like cleaner wax.Very sticky you could say.
Cool day/hot day, sunny etc is all tough.
It clays really clean.

We usually just deal with it it is a drivable 30 chevy after all.

Any thing that would work better that you guys suggest?
I have m82/151/105/ cleaner wax.

Has it ever been clayed? That can help products spread better and remove better.

Do you have a picture of the car? A profile or side shot would be good or a trunk or hood shot.

Are you working by hand?

You mean it's easy to rub clay over an the paint comes out looking smooth or glossy?

Hand or 110

I clayed it,it was clean.Smooth not much contamination transfer into the clay.

I will post some pics but i have none at the moment.

# 80 speed glaze & D/A the more you go over it the better it gets, patients Danielson. Meogie knows, traveled down same road several times.

What color is this SS paint?
I would start with D151 with yellow pad and set DA speed to 5 and see what results you get.
Step up to M105 if needed (although Ultimate compound is preferred for DA) with RED pad depending defect. Follow up with 82 after M105.

I have used 80 in the past.82 is Well sticky.Just not so great old paint?
I read a thread earlier about show cars with swirls not so perfect paint blah,blah..There is something about really old cars being driven that is the number 1 goal.

Interesting about going over a few times with 80 but i thought once is enough ya know. Thanks for the replies everyone.

This is exactly what i did first as this is what i had.105 seems way strong but its thin/watery.151 is damn thick.

If rubbing M80 over the paint to a section about 8" square or so for about a minute and then it won't wipe off to a hard, shiny surface, that's a pretty good indicator it's paint related because M80 is fairly Bubba-Proof on single stage paints.

Try to take a couple of pictures.

I've actually restored a lot of original and antique paints and some just can't be saved so that could be the case here. A picture will help.

I believe this paint is a laquer type.A bit fish eyed also.Some is just pollen though.Curious why it would be sticky.
And good lord it has alot of seems,lines,hinges,handles.
