  • scratch/swirl remover step in during detailing (URGENT!!)

    Hi guys

I am literally in the middle of detailing my dads CRX and was going to use some nu finish scratch doctor to help improve the look (already had it and haven't found swirlX yet to compare) Should I use it before or after my pre cleaner wax. I have already washed and clayed the car today and not sure which step I should proceed with.

    Thanks

      Not familiar with Nu Finish.
Is it a Cleaner only or a combo product?
And you want to use the Nu Finish on the whole car or just the scratches?
I don't think it matters because they both sound like a compound/cleaner

Its called scratch doctor and meant do just fill in scratches and polish it a bit. Its not the polish one, I think its along the same longs as swirlX in terms of purpose. Thanks for the help I can keep going now. I'll post pics when im done, sort of against the clock as dad away at the cottage and I'm trying to finish before he comes back.

Yea, I looked at their site and it sounds similar to ScratchX

Already had it from a few years ago, I plan to try swirlX later but can`t seem to find it in my local stores. Only seen scratch X 2.0, I still have a Grand cherokee to detail another day and would like to compare results.

                Well that looks great!
Are you happy with the results?
                Look good from my house.

nice work for a car of that age.
you should fix up the license plate to match your work.

Overall pretty happy with the results, I was using old Turtle Wax hard shell. It's not my car so the plates are not my choice, mine is the red X in the background. I'm curious how it will turn out when I use some better wax but dad wanted to use the turtle wax up. Next job is to detail a grand cherokee with NXT wax. It has the metallic blue paint job so it should glimmer. How do you guys clean your microfiber towels? Mine never end up like new after a wash.
