  • Dumb question about spots

It rained over night and the water dried on the car. Thing is, I've never seen this heavy of water spotting, usually its just a slight white ring, but these are dark spots. Are these normal?

Jesus, that's rough. That's after being freshly washed? Give cleaner wax a whack, work your way up for more aggressive products.

After a wash and some UQD there are just rings left. Could it have etched into the clearcoat?

After washing and claying, you'll get a cleaner, prepped surface to work with.

Try what Calais has said, and move up the aggressive product ladder if it didn't work.

There is another thread nearby with a very similair problem.you might want to give that a read.

another water spot problem That's the link.
