  • Removing Enamel or Latex Based Paint from Car Paint?

I have a 2005 Mazda 3. Somehow I picked up some household type paint on the right side of my car before the door handle. Mostly in the front and rear wheel well, about a 6 inch area near the front and rear wheel wells on the right side (where normally road grim and dirt collects during normal driving, etc), and some sporadic spots along the right side. There is also some paint on the right rear tire.

I took it by a detailing shop and they said a solvent would remove it and then they would wash, clean and wax the car for $95. Is there any home remedy or solvent I can use to remove it myself without harming the paint and clear coat? The detailing guy didn't think it would be any problem.

Does Meguiars have a solvent or a product that would be good to use?
