  • Rubber Trunk Button

Working on my Uncle's Jaguar tomorrow morning and I've noticed the button on his trunk depicting a roaring jaguar is hazed over. I've never worked on a rubberized surface before and was wondering if there is anything I can do to touch it up, even if it is just temporary. He has told me there is nothing that can really be done about it and I'd love to make it shine again.

    Please and thank you!

    Re: Rubber Trunk Button

I have a grant wheel that has a rubber horn button. Very hazey from a years use. All I did was use supreme shine. Now it's clear and shiney.
I don't know if it's the same material but give it a try.

I had a customer with the exact same issue (Jaguar hazed over).

I tried to polish it via rotary with PlastX and it had no effect. If you find the answer, please share!

I'll probably try some 105 by hand and get back to you guys. Wish me luck!

Whoops! I thought you were talking about a trunk release button inside the car.

I don't have a picture on me, but I found one on google.

Above the license plate there is J A G (G) U A R. '(G)' being the green button. The button is hazed out. Sorry, I don't have a picture of a hazed button.
