    Re: Canvas Convertible tops

I've used the Meguiar's Marine Line with great success.
Right now I'm using a cleaner product and a protectant from 303.

The only one I used was Amazing Rolloff. Good result. I had to use it only once however, so that doesn't prove anything.

I have been using the cleaner and protectant from the Marine Line with great results over the years. With the cleaner a brush helps to work out any stains.

                Hey,

Yes, M71 works very well on canvas tops!!! Just be sure to test it in a hidden area to make sure it does not pull color out of the top. You will need a stiff nylon brush and a lot of clean towels. I would also suggest doing it in the shade as you do not want the M71 to dry too quickly...

One of the great things about M71 Canvas Cleaner is that it does not need to be rinsed. As you can see from the pictures of the blue '64 Rambler it did an outstanding job on even a very badly soiled and stained canvas top, with the aid of a fairly stiff brush in that instance.

But on a new top that just needs light cleaning, even a microfiber or other lint free towel folded in 1/4s does a great job - and you don't need to rinse it off!
