Pics are to come, my friends. I started on my BLACK (Always hated black paint b/c it shows imperfections so well) '98 contour svt last night. Of course, I was hesitant, but I charged through and started on the hood, which was one of the worst parts. It had a combination of swirls, horizontals light scratches (from someone with a normal towel drying it) and etching. To be honest, the paint was abused and I was sick of looking at it. So I started with the cleaner/polish professional stuff and went to town. I did about 1/3 of the hood and I can't believe the difference. I applied some gold class wax to protect it until I do the whole car tonight and it looks so much better. Not perfect, but better.
I'm going to get pics in the sunlight today to show you all. I can't wait to get the rest of the car done. When I bought it, one of my bargaining chips was how the paint was in such rough shape, but I was hoping to use the g-110 DA that I had stored aways (bought it last year and never used it) to bring back the shine.
It's going to take a lot of work and some scratch removing my hand, but we'll get there. I did 16x16 area, speed 5, and just two applications to get rid of 90% of the problem.
