  • QD and UQD

Hi there. I have a simple question about those products and their use.
What's the basic difference between the two?
I understand UQD is sort of used to do a quick wash of the car if one doesn't have the time to actually wash the car, and QD is more of a lube. Is that right? QD seem to be working OK to "wash" the car as well isn't it?
And the next thing is what incidence do the two products have on underlying layers? If I have a coat of NXT Tech Wax 2 on the car, and apply a pass of either of those two products, (the basic way, as it's stated on the UQD bottle), what is going to happen?
    Thanx for your input !

    Re: QD and UQD

QD is a lubricant for 'washing' (remember only light dirt), claying ,and removing bird droppings ,etc.

UQD is a lubricant for washing (light dust) and bird droppings. It is not for claying. It will also leave a polymer coat behind to help water bead or hopefully run off.

As Mike once said, if you are touching the surface, and not applying wax, then you are removing wax. However, the QD/UQD (and other quick detail products) are meant to remove as little as possible.

      Re: QD and UQD

So QD could just replace UQD if used just after waxing with NxtTW2?
If I recall well, there's no pro version of UQD that could be bought cheaper than UQD?
      Thanx for your answer !

        Re: QD and UQD

In the pro version you would want #135. That is basically the same as UQD.

If you are going to go in the pro line, You could also get Last Touch. Both of these products are available in the gallon size. You can also use Last Touch as a clay lube. Just dilute it 1:1

          The Pro UQD is #135.

Not sure what you mean by just after waxing, no need for a qd then.
