  • Tree Sap (Gum)

    Hi all,
Any suggestion for how To remove the tree sap (Gum) of the vehicle's surface without damaging the paint. What is the best product for this?
    Thanks

    Re: Tree Sap (Gum)

Tree sap, if allowed to dry, can be extremely difficult to remove. If you catch it soon enough you should be able to treat it with some Gold Class Bug & Tar Remover and then cover it with a warm, wet and soapy towel for several minutes to help soften it.

This thread has several good suggestions - pay particular attention to post #8 from Kevin Brown.

How did Andy M get on with that hood? What was the method he used to get it off?
