  • Scewed up: Used QID instead of UQD!

Washed and did a coat of NXT on Saturday. Was going to do a quick detail after work today...after I finished, I realized I had actually used my QID...spray bottles look a lot alike.

Doesn't seem like its caused much of a problem...probably won't get the water shedding properties I would have had with QID. Have any of you made a similar mistake? Do I need to re-wash the car and use a quick wax or an application of UQD?

    Thanks.

No, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Recall that QID is safe for all interior surfaces - from vinyl and rubber to nav screens, wood trim, leather, painted plastics, etc...... you'll be fine, don't sweat it.

As you did point out though, you won't have the hydrophobic polymers provided by an application of UQD. Big whoop.... go over the car with UQD and problem solved.

Maybe just for peace of mind you could re wash the car, or go over it again with QD.

You did not harm the paint. I would give it a quick wash and go from there.
