  • Can you wax aluminum wheels?

Im sure you can, but besides aluminum polish, does anyone follow up with wax on the rim...

Here is a shot of one of my tires, with the other lettering clean now of course.

Can you wax them? Yes. Do I? No, lol. No need in my case. I never have a problem with them not coming clean easily. If they are dull, it takes less time just to give them a quick polish than to wax.

The wheels on my Silverado are clearcoated aluminum, After every wash I spray them down with Ultimate Quik Wax, and when I am doing a full detail I wax them with NXT 2.0 or M21 2.0.

By the way, your white lettering gets that dirty? Let me guess, are you using Super Degreaser to cleam em?

I hope after you cleaned them you put on a coat or two of ASD. lol.

My gramps live out in the woods, so there is a lot of dirt roading, and flat out lame weather here. I used APC 4:1 on the letters, that with a stiff(er) brush i got them looking good, and of course the ASD is on, ALWAYS. Truck once agian has been neglected but my tires look brand new 24 7

The white walls on my tires get dirty really quickly. I wash them with Westley's Bleche-Wite once a week with a stiff toilet brush thing. NXT tire shine as the dressing. It keeps the tires kind of protected from dirt and whatnot and looks great for a really long time.

I wax my wheels, it makes cleaning of the brake dust a lot easier.

Cleaner wax is great for wheels, a great way to use those little sample bottles from the Smooth Surface Kit.
