What cleaner - gunk on dashboard

The vehicle in question is a 2007 chevy suburban. On the faux woodgrain part of the dash near one of the air conditioner vents there is something stuck on it. I'm not sure what it is. We bought the car used and it came that-a-way. Feels like it is dried on pretty good. Maybe some glue from some sort of dash mount device?

I don't have anything in the way of Meguiars interior products, but will be placing an order soon. What would be the best cleaner for this? APC or APC+? Something stronger?

Might be able to get that off with a little soap and water. Or Quik Interior Detailer or APC.

APC/WD-40/Goo be Gone should do it for you.

Only thing you might not want to do is rub too aggressively, might end up scratching it.

Yes, be gentle. Though PlastX or SwirlX may be a follow-up option.

since this is a similair type question id thought id throw this in here real quick, anyone know if lexus uses real wood inside? The wood in my dads car has light swirls on it and it bugs me so bad when inside any ideas on how to tackle it?

Even if it is wood, it is likely coated with something. It is the coating you would have to figure out.
