    Wrapping the towel around a tooth brush handle would be my best guess. As someone stated prior. Seems to me long enough per a guess from your picture, and sturdy, unlike the paint stirrer.

        Okay so I haven't been able to find wheel brightener, but I have tried apc+ on them. To no avail, sadly. Later on, I tried hot rims all wheel cleaner. With the same results--nothing. They do look brighter overall, but I have yet to be able to find a wheel brush. Of course, all I have tried is wal-mart!

          Autozone has an ok one. I have it. It bends pretty easily and should go into those slits. Try using something like Simple Green or Purple Power. It may be powerful enough to break the brake dust down.

            Try ADS. You can get 'samples' rather than gallons. Wheel Brighter should take care of it. You will also find brushes. etc for getting into the tight spots
