I have a 2006 pilot that I have not been to particular with because it was a lease vehicle. Due to the incredibly low residual i went ahead and bought it. Due to this I want to keep the interior and exterior as nice as possible.

I've been getting it waxed once or twice a year at the local wash place and get the interior super clean at the same time.

What is the best way to keep it protected and and looking good between waxes? (I am a bit unsure what the difference is between polish and wax)

What is the best product for the dash and interior? I already use the leather cleaner/conditioner spray. I want to keep the vinyl protected so it doesn;t fade or crack.

What is the best product to use on the unpainted black plastic bumper areas and the like to protect it from graying or cracking?

I apologise if these are too elementary but I want to keep the pilot looking perfect forever....

1. It is highly unlikely that the wax will last 6-12 months, so the best thing to do would be re-wax it. Most of the maintenance products, like the spray waxes, that you could consider are meant to be used when there is still some wax on the car.

What do you do to wash the car in between? Also going to a car wash?

2. I would go with either the Supreme Shine or the Natural Shine for the interior vinyl.

3. As for the bumpers, you have a few to choose from. The Gold Class Trim Detailer is good, or you may want to consider All Season Dressing if you have a lot trim to care for.

I like to apply the vinyl/plastic products, let them sit for 5-10 minutes, then come back and wipe off excess.
