  • Need Quick Advice

Just wondering what I should do with the citation I am in. Yesterday, I did a quick detail and used DC1 and applied NXT 2.0 coat # 1..

Today, It is cloudy and cool. its about 50 degree's out. I have the car parked in the garage. The car is very cool to the touch. Is it worth putting a coat of wax on when its that cold. I mean its pretty cool to touch. You know when you touch it. Rest of the week is looking in the low 50's. Do I shoot for another day.. but having to wash it again before I do it.

    What do you guys suggest?

Shouldnt be a problem to do it now. 50's isnt that bad. You can pull it out to work on if you like, maybe catch a little sun to warm it up?

Yeah, it is mostly surface temp and humidity that matter.

            Re: Need Quick Advice

There isn't an issue with surface temp. 50 degrees is OK.
Main thing is to let you wax dry before removing which may take a little longer due to the temp. Use thin coats and certainly use the swipe test before removing. If you have issues during removal, due to the temp, a QD spray of your choice will help aid in removal.

Usually your okay if it is above 40 ish. If you have some sun, bring it out warm it up a little and apply your wax. Thin coats and remember it will probably take a little longer to dry.
