  • quik detailer questions

    hi guys
i just purchased quik detailer, as my car got a build up of dust a few days after detailing it..

now i read that quik detailer removes some light scratches.

yet when i applied it today, i see some scratches come up...

i had done the 3-step process about a month ago, and re-applied polish and wax last week...

could it be i was using a wrong cloth?
i used a non scratch towel and applied quik detailer...

sorry, but im still learning on stuff around here
i just converted to meguiars, and im never turning back

btw love the smell of the meguiars products

    Hey,

Quik Detailer will not remove scratches. It is a high lubricity formula designed to remove dust and finger prints from an already detailed finish.

Generally, if it is "heavy dust" I prefer to re-wash the car. If it was only light dust, the Quik Detailer will work just fine. I would also suggest using a Meguiar's Ultimate Wipe MF towel for both application and removal of the Quik Detailer.

    Cheers!

Maybe the quick detailer that removes scratches #66 which is a powerful cleaner wax, the other quick detailer is just a spray which doesn't remove scratches.

          Hi tomee

I believe the dust may have been a little too heavy. As a result, you have minor cob-webbing. I would suggest using Meguiar's #9 Swirl Remover and a quality MF to remove the product. Top with NXT x 2. That should should help!

$19 for the Ultimate Wipe?? Wow, that is pricey!! Then I would use any good quality MF towel you can obtain.
