  • Scale for Tire Dressings?

There's a scale for aggressive products for polishing.

Is there one for gloss, and a separate one for endurance?

I used the Rx Plus a while ago and said I wanted to most shine and it recommended NXT Gen Insane Shine. But I thought I read somewhere that Hot Shine was better. Then there comes type of application, spray, gel, etc!

Can we perhaps establish a scale for gloss on tire dressing products?

I'm not too much worried about endurance... I'm sure if I was I would turn to the Endurance line and call it a day. But gloss confuses me between Hot Shine, Endurance High Gloss, and Insane Shine.

    Sounds like your new job....

Though I think Tuck has a good selection of photos going.

NXT Generation Insane Shine is going to give you a really high gloss and shiny mirror coating, Gold Class Endurance High Gloss is going to give you a darker high gloss appearance as well, both of these two are pretty close in terms of shine and gloss.

As far as Hot Shine goes, it comes in four different forms ( gel, aerosol coating, foam, and trigger spray). Hot Shine isnt as high gloss as NXT Generation Insane Shine or Gold Endurance High Gloss though.

Here is a few pictures of the different dressings to help make up your mind though:

NXT Generation Insane Shine Tire Coating:

      Gold Class Endurance High Gloss:

Hot Shine High Gloss Tire Gel:

Hot Shine High Gloss Tire Coating (Aerosol):

      Hot Shine Tire Foam:

      Hope this helps.

wow, what a really great comparison..i have NXT endurance high gloss and hot shine..and i gotta say my favorite for regular washing is hot shine, because it leaves a nice black good ol shine and nothing crazy..but just very nice to have. any pics of what any detailer line products look like ? like all season dressing, hyper dressing, etc...

          Very good! Thank you.

Is the Insane Shine the same in both forms, unlike the Hot Shine? I'm tempted to go for the Insane Shine because I want the highest shine possible.

If your ultimate goal is maximum tire shine and longevity is a secondary consideration for you, then NXT Insane Shine is definitely the product to get.

Great comparison, Nick! Where applicable, does the shine reflect a spray and walk away, or do you do a final wipe after applying? I'd also really love to see ASD if you've got any pics handy. Thanks again for the great comparisons.

Yes, Hot Shine is generally my all around favorite in the consumer line. I do have some pictures of Hyperdressing and All Season Dressing.

No problem, I am glad I could help. NXT Generation Insane Shine Tire Coating and NXT Generation Insane Shine Spray are obviously very similar but I think the aerosol form is a bit more "insane".

Thank you. All of the photos are after initial application

Here are some photos of All Season Dressing applied via foam or microfiber applicator pad. By the way, I love ASD on tires!

Here is a couple pictures of Hyper-Dressing at 1:1, the reason I have very few photos of Hyperdressing is because I generally do not like using it as a tire dressing, I use it for engines and wheelwells primarily.

                Hope this helps!

I have found that with the ASD and the Insane Shine Trigger Spray, blotting the tires with a terry to remove excess from the grooves only changed the shine a little, if at all.

ASD seems to look real nice on tires tuck...what would you compare it to as far as gloss goes ? and how about longevity ?

On my tires, Nxt Trigger spray and ASD were close.
