  • ScratchX under the sun

I was wondering if polishing the car using ScratchX under the sun would be harmful cos from what I understand it is only during the waxing stage whereby doing it in the shade is prefered.

I have to go through 2 to 3 passes using ScratchX to remove the deep swirls. If I were to switch to a more aggressive product like the UC, does it mean that I only have to go through the panels 1 to 2 times only? This could help me reduce some time and effort as I am doing all these by hand.

    1. Working 'in the sun' does not matter. What matters is the surface temperature. So if it is cool/chilly there, working in the sun can help. If it is already hot there, the surface can get very hot, making the product dry up quickly, and be impossible to use.

    2. Well, UC may speed things up.
