  • Meguire Product Equivalent

I've listed what I use as of yesterday and I realize that some product that are not Meguiar's. It's not my intention to anger anyone but I don't know what comparable products Meguiar's offers to some of the ones I've listed below.

Could someone give me a comparable Meguiar's Professional product for the non-Meguiar's products I've listed below?

    • Clay- Meguiar's Smooth Surface Clay
    • Swirl Remover – Meguiar’s M105
    • Finishing Polish – Meguiar’s M205
    • Finishing Polish – Menzerna Polish PO85RD
    • One Step Polish - Meguiar's Solo Cut #86
    • Isopropyl Alcohol Clean
    • Paint Glaze – Meguiar's #7, Wolfgang Finished Glaze, Poor Boys
    • Seal - Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant
    • Wax - Collinite 845, Pinnacle Liquid Souverän Wax,

For the sealant have a look at NXT Generation Tech Wax. We classify it as a "polish/wax" but technically it's 100% synthetic and contains polishing oils to add depth and gloss, and even darken some dark colors. Be prepared though - it's an OTC product that is actually affordable, and you can pick it up at WalMart. Just apply it whisper thin and let it dry fully before removal.

As for the wax, our M26 High Tech Yellow Wax is our premium carnauba blend from our Mirror Glaze Pro line. Hugely popular and well known for it's deep, rich finish. Or search for a can of our much loved, but long since discontinued, M16 Professional Paste Wax. Still available in Europe and through some online retailers here in the US (there was a huge run on the stuff via an ebay seller last fall!!) people rave over it's crazy water beading, deep, wet shine, and ease of use (as long as you don't pile it on - it's a challenge if you don't use it right!!)

Cool list. And don't worry lots of people use multiple companies products. It's what works for you that's important. I use almost exclusively Meg's product except for my microfibers (Vroom) and rinseless wash (ONR).

      By the way... WELCOME!!!

Much loved. Can you not get around the VOC thing... i.e. produce offshore?
Sell on line? I am sure it would be one of your best profit margins.

If we could, we would, but we can't so we don't.

Thanks for all the input guys!

I've never used the NXT Generation Tech Wax but I hear it gives great results. As for the M26 High Tech Yellow Wax, I've been using it for years in both liquid and paste form with good success as well, in fact, I picked up a new bottle last fall so I'm good to go..
