  • Got a Question

About my 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8's rims and water spots. Yes this winter has been very cold and I must come clean, I have it hand washed by someone else other than I.

Anyways I have noticed that I have water spots on the rims, not too bad but noticeable. How do I get rid of these spots. These rims are the Alcoa Forged with the Durabrite finish.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Here's a pic of the rim.

Can you perhaps get a close up of the water spots?

Not sure what the Durabrite is.... is it a polished rim covered in clear coat? Or bare metal?

            Re: Got a Question

If it is clear coated, you just treat it like paint.

You can wash, clay, and use a paint cleaner to remove swirls/water spots. The paint will be a bit different than car paint, but still best to start with the basics like SwirlX, and then move up if needed.
