  • M83 0n glass?

Not sure where to post this, and this may sound dumb(please forgive me), but a while back, there was no way that I could get all the calcium and hard water buildup that caked on my house windows. I tried every thing, even the vinegar&water. Then I just figured I would try taking my pc7424 w/a polishing pad and used some M83 and whalla!!! That glass came out like the window was just installed. Which brings me to my question:

Can I litterally use the M83 on my windshields on my truck, and can it have a negitive effect on it? I know that eastwood makes a product that is specifically for that, but it's $40 for a tiny container

    Many Thanks:
    Don

    Yes, it can be used.

A paitn cleaner wont be strong enough to damage glass.

Never tried 83 on glass. I use #4 or #105, They both produce fantastic results.

Removing even bad water spots can be far easier than removing scratches in glass, if that is what you really want to accomplish with your truck. The glass polishing kits on the market generally make use of cerium oxide and require a rotary buffer. They can do an excellent job of polishing out scratches in glass, provide the operation possesses sufficient talent to use everything properly. There is a downside to these systems, however, in that if you lack the talent and get too aggressive you run the risk of overheating and distorting the glass.

Using M83 you really should not have that problem, especially with a D/A. But don't expect it to fully remove scratches from glass either.
