  • I got to use UWW, M105 and D151 today...

...because one of the neighbor's dumb cats decided to have a party on the hood of my car after I left for school, followed by leaving a "present" and then apparently trying to use the dirt/mud that it got all over the hood of the car to try and cover it up. Nice. The car looked great simply using UWW! I washed each panel twice to help let it dwell on the paint for a bit. The car looked black as black can be! One pass of M105 by hand did make the scratches look better than they were, but I'll be lucky if they come out even using the G100. They are large and deep. Used D151 real quick to get some wax on there since it was starting to rain again. I must say, for the whole 2 minutes I spent on that area, about 99% of the swirls are gone! I can't wait to have time to try and go over the whole car with M105, maybe even followed by D151 for good measure! Great products once more from Meguiar's...I just didn't expect to have to use them under those conditions. One more reason to add to the list of why I'll be getting the car repainted one day when I actually have a garage! Not too much longer hopefully!

They are great products. It does make car care a lot easier, if you have a garage.

I have to agree, lol. The only thing that seemed a bit strange to me was there seemed to be a film left on a small part of the car while drying. The back bumper was the area where I noticed it. I'd say it was the brand new, not washed towel I was using, but it didn't streak like that on other parts of the car I got to after? Perhaps somehow there was still some soap film I somehow didn't rinse that managed to run onto the back bumper?

Did this happen to the Mustang?

I have only used the UWW once. I did not notice any soap film. Maybe that area just was not rinsed that well?

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I'm sure there probably being almost no wax, if any, on the paint didn't help the cause.

LOL, the joys of a black car.

Cats having party on the car, not good. Had same thing happen to my friends, except its a small dog that thinks its a cat. LOL

I definitely agree, m105 and D151, even by hand, with correct techniques yield great results.

It was incredible! I did 3 passes of M83 on the G100 before and got a lesser result than one pass of M105 by hand. Love it! I'm so glad I ordered them just because, hehe!
