I have decided to give a Meguiar's wash a try, since I need to get a bottle of car wash liquid. I see Deep Crystal is a few bucks cheaper (than the Gold Class shampoo and conditioner).
I'm not a professional detailer by any stretch of the imagination--I'm just trying to get my cars clean (looking). I'm working on a 98 Civic and an 05 Toyota Sienna. Is the Gold Class product only for a showroom-quality look? I live in the desert, and get a lot of dust, wind, bugs, and occasional rain so I'd rather not pay top dollar just for a product that will make my car look great for a week or so before the next dust cloud I drive through. On the other hand, if it will help out the paint or even make it look better from one wash to the next, it would probably be worth it.
I don't do any real detailing to these vehicles--an occasional wash and every great once in a while, a wax.
