Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner question

Hey guys so I recently used some DCP to successfully get some bird droppin etching off my paint... they had etched in after only sitting there for ONE HOUR i couldn't believe it but all is good now

I have a question about DCP, is it safe to use on unprotected paint? I just used it on paint that had a thin layer of colorX, and I am thinking about using it on the whole body cause i have lots of water spots here and there. Should I clay first or should I clay then add a layer of wax before using it. Cause it definitely needs some elbow grease to get the etchings and watermarks out and I just dont feel right rubbing into unprotected paint like that if it's just been clayed and has no protection.

I don't see why it would be a problem..just wash your car sirst them clay bar then depp cyrtal paint cleaner then a coat or two of wax to protect

Deep Crystal Cleaner is very mild.

You would do much better with some SwirlX for removing defects.

If you have not clayed, you certainly can.

Either way, you will remove your wax, so some Nxt 2.0 after will be good.

1. Wash
2. Clay
3. Clean - SwirLX
4. Wax
5. Wax - 2 thin coats are best.

DC1 is primarily intended to be used on clean paint, its purpose is to further chemically clean the actual paint and (lightly) remove contamination. Think of it as a mild SwirlX without any abrasives at all.

It actually has a tiny bit of abrasives...

True. It has a light amount of Diminishing Abrasives. On a side note, all of the cleaner waxes offered by Meguiars also have a small amount of Diminishing Abrasives.

except for 151, it utilizes SMAT.

alright, so if it does indeed have a small amt of diminishing abrasives, then is it theoretically possible to be incurring scratching if you are really applying a lot of pressure behind the cotton pad when applying it?

With DC1, any scratching would be from the applicator.

The etchings and watermarks are in the paint itself. Why would you wax first, then use a cleaner? You're just gonna go through the wax???
