Can I polish after Repaint?

Hi all,

I want to know about polishing car after repainted.

Just had an accident and it's been repainted and finished last Tuesday.

The Guy who worked on my car compounded yesterday because there are slight over clear coat and his Compound not really good, that made my car paint not clear.

The question is that is it ok to polish the car? On the section that has been repainted? Or wait for at least 1 month or so?

I'm a bit afraid to polish the repainted section. And today I need to get back to Him, because there is like a water droplets from the clear coat and I can see which section that repainted and not. A bit rough job, but yeah, it's not too expensive(for Australia).

When I was in an accident last year, the shop told me to wait at least 30 days preferably longer before I did anything more than washing my truck.

So maximum thing that I do is only wash my car?

Roger that. Because I'm afraid if I do more than washing or waxing, it will cause harm to my paint.

#80 is great for fresh paint, and any cleaner or polish could be used.

Just need to avoid waxes, or anything that seals the paint.

So I can't wax my car atm?

I don't have no 80. But I just want to get rid of the Compound that the Body Repair shop did. They did badly, leave a compound marks.

And I want to wax my car. Is it ok? And how about if get into rain? Is it safe?

No you cant wax.

Rain should not be any worse that usual when the paint is dry.

What products do you have there?

I only got UC, Scratch X 2, Color X, and #9.

Can I use DA? Or I just use hand mode?
