My wife has a purple car and my mom has a black car..When ever I wax the hoods on the cars there alway's seem to be smudges on them..It's almost as if the wax is not all off.And this only happens when look at them from a certain angle..

Assuming the surface is cleaned/clayed, etc...
It is likely just spots where the wax was applied a hair thick, and needed a couple minutes longer to dry. Its pretty easy to apply an area thick by accident (I certainly do) and not give it enough time to dry. And the Nxt 2.0 seems to take a little longer to dry on top of that.
It is likely happening more often, just easier to see on dark colors.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue -

When you're removing the wax/sealant you can use a little detail spray to help in fully removing it.Comment

Normally when we see this it's because the wax is applied too heavy, not allowed to dry long enough, or a combination of the two.

Yes like said, let it dry and buff it off. NXT does take longer. Also like said some Detail Spray can help the last bit get off. BUT try letting it dry completely first.Comment

I mentioned elsewhere that the last time I used 2.0 Tech Wax on two dark colored cars I applied it via DA with a Lake Country blue pad and removed it with a LC red pad. I'd never done that before. I was very pleased, particularly with the application of it (it dried very quickly, too). I was able to apply a very, very thin coat very evenly (I almost couldn't see it). The result was wonderful.
I had somewhat fallen out of love with 2.0 Tech wax after I applied it by hand because I, too, had experienced spots and streaks. Not so when applied very, very thinly with the DA. You may want to try that or else switch to Gold Class Carnauba (if you are going to apply it by hand), which for me was more user-friendly on my dark paint when applied and removed by hand.Comment

I usually do use NXT,But this time I used cleaner wax..I had a new bottle that was just opened and I wanted to use it up..It is possible that I went to heavy in a couple places..Comment

Yes to heavy and not enough dry time. When I waxed my new car for the first time I let it dry for almost an hour and still had smudges. I used some quick detail spray and it came right off.Comment
