  • reapplying #16

    Hi guys,

Last week I UQW (after NXT wash) my car, the MF pad picks up some dirt.. So if i were to re-apply #16(instead of UQW) after a wash , wouldnt be the surface is not clean enough for the #16?

any steps i should take before layering the #16 in this particular situation?

    Thanks

After a wash your car should be clean enough that a quick wipe down with UQD or similar should show no dirt at all. Unless, of course, in the process of the UQD wipe down you ran your towel over some rubber trim that caused some discoloration to the towel, or you got a bit deeper along the wheel well than you thought you did, etc.

Unless you have some issues with your washing process, a car should be more than sufficiently clean following a wash that you can safely wax it.

What else have you done to the car recently? Is it in need of claying?

          my process is so..

clay, swirlx, nxt, m16 -> 2 weeks later -> wash -> UQW (this when i picked up some dirt on the MF pad)

for my previous encounter with UQW, it doesnt seem to have this problem. i have been scratching over it too.

i shall give it a try again during this week routine wash..
