  • Finkishing Pad Question

Im going to use Lake Country Pads to tackle my wifes Acadia

    I have a quick question,

If your using a wax with some polishing oils is it best to use the black or blue pad to work the product in?
My understanding is the blue pad is used for a LSP product only?

Im looking to try the following since I got the itch with my new DA
    Wash
    Clay
    m105
    m205
    m7 (thinking about it)
    NXT 2.0
    Gold Class w/nuba

Im curious if I use the black pad after the NXT if im just going to take it off? Or if I should just use the blue pad and slowly work in the gold class

(if a mod can change the title to finishing..........sorry)

    Re: Finkishing Pad Question

I think its a good idea to use the blue finessing pad for apllying waxes, you shouldn't have any problems using the black finishing pad either. Just let the wax cure for like day before putting a coat of Gold class over top.
    Hope that helps!

      Re: Finkishing Pad Question

You could use either the blue or the black foam, although the stiffer structure of the black foam is going to work better with the orbital motion of a DA. If you have a white pad I would even consider using this instead. (On some paints the softer black pad with give a better finish, but on most paint the both pads will create an identical finish when used on a DA.)

Let's make all of the cars shiny!

I thought the white pads were for very minor cutting?
