  • Steam or Extractor

I currently have a mytee extractor, which i havent used yet. I just wanted to know if i should also have a steamer. I have a potential customer who told me he has some spots on his seats and he asked if I had a steamer to get it out. Should i purchase a steamer, or will the extractor handle that?

Does your extractor have a heater? If so you will be fine. I use a duel heater Mytee and am amazed what it gets out. Even QBF's!

Yeah it has a heater. I just wasnt sure if i only used it on carpets. So it is ok to use on cloth seats?

No problem. BUT, there's always a BUT. Some seats (Neons come to mind) are a pain in the ________.! No matter what you use. These types of seats usally have very little mat to them. Most seats are not like this but you will come across some that are. You may not need the extractor to get a few spots out of the seats or carpets. You can always try a test spot with just some carpet shampoo(extractor shampoo) and hot water in a bottle, a brush, a cloth and a shop vac. Spray a small amount on the spot, brush it in and then wipe. Vac afterwards and let dry. I only pull out the extactor if I'm doing all the seats/carpet or have a really nasty stain.
Remember to follow the instructions on your shampoo. I see people putting in WAY WAY too much shampoo in their machine all the time then have a heck of a time getting the shampoo out of the material.
