  • Between bugs and birds!

OK, I am sure you guys have answered this before but my wife took the black Camaro out a few days ago and didn't realize or let me know that the birds bombed the car. I did notice a couple of spots on the hood and took care of those right away. However there was one on the left rear fender that went for a few days and when I discovered it, it has done something to the paint or clear coat. I used Ultimate Detailer and tried to clean it up like normal but you can see where it was on the paint. I have also found where a bug had dried on the front valance and it looks the same way.

What can bring the luster and shine back?

Having pics would be helpful. As for luster and shine Meguiars has tons of products to suit needs. Depending on your exp and tools you can have the car buffed (if needed) or simply sealed and waxed.

Sounds like you have a little etching. Trying some stuff by hand may be helpful such as SwirlX, Color X, or step up to something like Ultimate Compound. I actually have a cool pic of a 2002 Trans Am with Navy Blue Met. Paint. The pic shows how Ult. Compound corrected the swirls out....

    See how the scratches stop.....
