If you mean like the gel coat fiberglass on a boat or RV, not really anything different, no. Our Marine & RV waxes are designed specifically for this surface but you can use NXT, etc on them. Flagship Premium Marine wax would be top of the line for a gel coat finish though.Michael Stoops

When waxing a car with steel body panels you don't adjust your process to wax the painted bumper covers, even though those aren't steel under the paint. Heck, the Mazda MX-5 Miata has steel fenders, doors and quarter panels but aluminum hood and trunk and urethane bumper covers! But since all those surfaces are covered in the same paint you treat them all the same.
About the only time you notice a significant difference in substrates is when rotary buffing and putting a lot of heat into the surface. Various substrates dissipate heat at different rates, and if you're retaining heat somewhere you can run into serious issues if you aren't careful. But just waxing - makes no difference at all.Michael Stoops
