  • Paint safe tape?

    Greetings All,

I was asked last night to drive my new 11 Mustang convertible in a local Homecoming Parade. The girl that I will be driving has to hang a poster with her name etc., on each side of my car (ouch!). Would good quality painter's tape be my best bet? Or do you guys have other suggestions? Thanks!

Meguiars have their own low tack detailing tape - check it out.

Plus there's always - 3M painters tape (blue or green); should be good.

Agreed, I have never had a issue with 3m stuff. Blue or Green. As long as the surface is clean and your not grinding in the paint, I see no issues.

Thanks. After thinking it through a bit more I may just leave the windows up about an inch and use painter's tape to stick to the glass and avoid the paint all together.
