I have always used the 105/205 combo and it's great but I am having to use the 80's combo for a single stage older paint. Is M83 to be used like 105 for a cutting compound and then m80 like 205 for the polish? Or are there other better combination's?

Re: M105/205 and M83/80
#83 is much milder than #105/UC.
But you can use #105, then #80. I mean, you can still use #205 for single stage, it isnt like it is dangerous or something. But #80 will have a lot of polishing oils, where #205 would probably be helped with #7, etc after.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

No, the numbers dont work that way.
#84/#85 are rotary only, pretty heavy duty.
#86 is meant more for fresh paint, though can be used in other situations. Got some numbers for mold makers in there...
I mean, if you needed #84, ok... but would be odd anymore I think, for detailing.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
