  • I can't get suds anymore!!!!

    Hey guys,

Well whenever I add the GC wash and mix it with water in the bucket, there are a lot of suds in the bucket. But then when i apply it to the car, the suds all disappear. It looks like I am just moving the sponge around on my paint with just water. What am i doing wrong. Before, i used to get a lot of suds using the same method. I am using a microfiber sponge to apply. Please help.

What's your wash ratio? Same as instructed on bottle?

Another thing to keep in mind is that, contrary to popular belief, suds don't mean much nor offer any lubrication. It's the chemistry in the 'watery' part that matters and that won't change even when the suds disappear.

As long as you have the right mix ratio your ok.

I have the same problem with the hard water in my hometown. The suds disappear on the car, but the lubricity is still there so it's all good.

After you wash each panel, dip your wash media in the bucket, rub it against the grit guard and squeeze/agitate it to not only help release any debris in it, but to re-agitate the car wash and help keep the suds.

Lubricity is more important then suds. As long as you still feel the lubricity, I would not worry about the lack of suds.

Yes lubricity is the key but suds do help carry dirt away. Personally I didn't find GC to be a very good shampoo.

NXT Tech Wash is promoted as being especially good in hard water. I have hard water here and it is much sudsier than GC. Might try it out on your next bottle.

As long as you're following the manufacture instructions for mixing then you should be fine. A low suds solution is what you're trying to achieve in the first place. Allot of foam and suds is just wasting product and doesn't float the dirt away as well as a low suds solution.
