  • spidering/webbing on bumper...HELP!

hey guys its good to be back on this forum
I havent been on it in soo long...well today unfortunately my subaru
took a very minor blow to the rear bumper...no cracks or anything in the bumper...but...I noticed that there is some minor webbing/spidering (small area prob 3 inches, looks almost like little waves of very light cracking) in the paint
probably due to the bumper flexing.

Is it a waste of my time to try to use a dual action on the bumper
or will I need to have it repainted

thanks I would appreciate any input.

If it cracked/seperated under the surface, some polish/wax wont fix that. It will be like CC failure.

Once the paint cracks, your not going to be able to buff it out.

I have the same problem on my front bumper, a wooden board got kicked up on the highway and hit me causing cracks around the impact area (thankfully it wasn't the edge of the wood, eep!). It's not bad looking and can only be seen in the right kind of lighting but there's nothing you can do to remove it apart of painting it, however, you may have some luck hiding it a bit with wax or something.
