car cover suggestions?

I'm going to be having a cleaning session that might last a few days. I don't have a garage to park my car in overnight, but I do have a tent I park it under, which provides some protection from dust, but not really much since it's open on the sides.

So I was thinking of covering up my car when I can't work on it. Any tips on buying a car cover? e.g. what material the cover should be made of or brand suggestions etc.

I should just buy jumbo sized trash bags and tape them together The cheapest car cover is like $30...

How would you even wash those things... seems like such a pain.
